The Process

The Portable Proof Load Kit is the most popular method of proof load testing. It can be used with a v-groove bearing, a chamfered housing or even a sleeve. The main benefit of this tool is that it is completely portable, easy to use, reliable and adaptable. A single kit can be modified for use with a large range of bearings using the adapter kits. The kit includes a handheld load display, electronic load cell with TEDS memory and a DTI gauge all calibrated to required specifications.

The ergonomic design of the portable proof load tool will simplify the process and allow customers to minimise test time which maximises the profit of the job. The tool has been designed for repair use either directly on an aircraft or on bench top assemblies. There are many design options to choose from so please reach out to discuss your needs. We have designed tools to fit within the tightest clearance restrictions and have proprietary custom miniature load cells that are not commercially available anywhere else. Please also review our detailed instruction manual and instructional video for both training and process control for customer audit purposes.

 

All of our portable proof load kits are presented in a custom laser cut case to bring directly to the job location or to easily store in a tool crib for future use. This ensures every component is protected, respected, and accounted for when returned to the rightful location.

  1. The complete portable proof load kit (IPPLK) comes with a digital hand held load display, load cell and DTI gauge along with machined parts to test a specific bearing (IPPLP).

***Multiple electronic load cells may be required based on the customer’s required load range.**

  1. The adapter components require the electronics provided in the complete kit (IPPLK); therefore, the complete kit must be first purchased for the adapter components to function.
  2. IPPLKN or IPPLPN refers to our “narrow body” style tool for access restrictions.
  3. IPPLKX or IPPLPX refers to a custom design for specific applications.
