Anvil Proof Load Test Tool can be used with most bearing and housing arrangements. The test is designed to put a specified load on to the outer ring of the bearing and measure the axial displacement with respect to the housing. The load zone is very important as to not damage the bearing and the associated units must be calibrated to ensure accuracy. The anvil proof load method requires a customer to have some form of force application like a hydraulic press. They must have their own method of precisely measuring the applied force and also a calibrated gauge to read the bearing displacement.
