THE PROCESS

A  Flat Roller Swaging Tool is used with a chamfered bearing and chamfered housing. A sacrificial sleeve is used to deform material onto both the bearing and housing. The Flat Swaging Tool is characteristically used on Boeing BAC5435 process specification and critical for the performance of the bearing assembly. The other common method for process specifications such as Airbus Specification 01-05-10 is the U- Roller Swaging Tool.
