THE PROCESS

Anvil Staking Tools are used with a v-groove bearing and a chamfered housing. This tool is for use with a hydraulic, mechanical / arbor or pneumatic press. The anvil staking tool is least complex process as it simply uses extreme force to from the v-groove of the bearing onto the housing. We do not recommend this process but recognize at times it is unavoidable. Common process specifications are NAS0331, BAC5435, AIPS 03-03-012 and AIPI 03-03-012.

ADVANTAGES

Precision Design

The UNASIS anvil style bearing staking tool is designed to sit perfectly within the v-groove of the bearing. The location on which this tool sits is critical to ensure no damage is caused to the bearing while performing the stake.

Custom Modifications

Our anvil staking tools can be engineered custom or modified to suit all applications. We can make them compatible with your press to increase workflow and productivity.

Tools in stock

Access to thousands of tools from stock ranging from bearing staking tools to testing tools for proof load and breakaway torque tests.

High Quality

Only the best materials are used to increase tool longevity. It’s important to optimize the metallurgical balance as the tool being too hard could crack while too soft wears out quickly. Decades of experience has allowed us to be leaders in the market for tool design.

Technical Support

Immediate technical support with custom design and manufacturing expertise. Carter is always on call to support all requests.

Two Step Bearing Stake

Depending on the process specification, a two-step bearing staking tool can be provided. The first step is to locate the bearing and stake one side. The second step is the double stake on both sides thus securing the bearing and leading to a successful installation.
